Working Student Graphic & Web Design (m/f/d)

Kymati develops advanced radar sensor solutions for industrial automation, container terminals, traffic monitoring, aerospace and other demanding environments.

We are looking for a creative and motivated working student with initial practical experience to support Kymatis visual communication and website relaunch.

You will work closely with the Sales team to create clear, consistent and professional content across digital and printed materials.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the development of the new Kymati website design.
  • Create additional page layouts for products, applications and other website sections based on Kymatis new in-house design concept and visual system.
  • Prepare clear and well-organised design files, visual assets and specifications for handover to the external web development agency.
  • Prepare and optimise images, illustrations, icons, diagrams and other website assets.
  • Design and update datasheets, flyers and other sales and marketing materials in line with Kymatis visual identity.
  • Prepare and update PowerPoint presentations using the existing Kymati master template and predefined slide layouts.
  • Structure technical and commercial information in a clear and visually engaging way.
  • Create visual content for Kymatis social media channels, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Adapt graphics, images and text to different website and social media formats.
  • Support the preparation of artwork and files for digital use and professional printing.
  • Help organise templates, design files and visual assets.

Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled in an advanced stage of a degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Communication Design, Media Design, Digital Media or a comparable field.
  • Initial practical design experience gained through previous student employment, internships, freelance work or relevant university projects.
  • Confident working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint and working with an existing master template, predefined layouts and styles.
  • Experience creating or adapting visual content for websites, presentations and printed materials.
  • Good understanding of web design and responsive design principles.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and the visual requirements of channels such as LinkedIn.
  • A good eye for typography, layout, colour, imagery and visual consistency.
  • Able to follow an existing corporate design and work carefully from a creative brief.
  • Comfortable working with technical information and transforming it into clear visual communication.
  • Reliable, organised and able to work independently after receiving a clear brief.
  • Very good English and German skills.
  • Available to work 1620 hours per week.
  • A strong portfolio showing relevant university, personal or professional graphic and web design projects.
Nice to have
  • Initial experience with Figma.
  • Experience with WordPress or another content management system.
  • Basic knowledge of print production.
  • Experience creating infographics or technical diagrams.
  • An interest in technology, industrial products or B2B communication.
