Test Engineer for Hard- & Software (m/f/d) for Radar Systems
Join us at Kymati – Your career in the world of high-tech radar sensors in Munich!
We are looking for talented people who want to shape the future with us and have fun doing it. Become part of our International Team and work on the development of high precision sensor solutions for industrial automation and aerospace solutions.
Join us in shaping the next generation of industrial radar technology – with long-reaching vision: We are looking for a qualified and experienced engineer with expertise in radio frequency soft- and hardware.
Your Responsibilities:
- Holistic Testing: You plan, develop, and execute test scenarios for our radar sensors, covering both hardware components (RF boards, enclosures) and software (firmware).
- Test Bench Development: You design automated test environments and scripts using Python to streamline the validation of our algorithms and hardware revisions.
- Embedded Testing: You assist in the verification of hardware-near code written in C, ensuring that signal processing performs optimally under real-world conditions.
- Measurement Campaigns & Field Tests: You take an active role in test measurements—in the lab, at industrial sites, or during the evaluation of our landing systems. You analyse raw data and identify areas for optimisation.
- Contribute to certification activities by preparing test documentation, supporting compliance verification, and assisting in audits and qualification processes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: You work closely with the HW and SW development teams to identify and resolve bugs or design flaws at an early stage.
Your Profile:
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Radar Expertise: A fundamental understanding of radar technologies (e.g., FMCW) and radio frequency (RF) engineering is a significant advantage.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python (for test automation and data analysis) and ideally experience in hardware-level programming with C.
- Hands-on Mentality: You enjoy working with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers) and are willing to support field measurements on-site.
- Analytical Mindset: You have a passion for troubleshooting complex systems and continuously improving testing methodologies.
- Languages: Fluency in English (working language); German language skills are a plus.
Our Offer:
- Become part of an experienced and international team that creates and celebrates success together.
- Work in an exciting technology environment, work on technology that makes industrial plants more efficient and landing systems safer.
- Apply the latest measurement technology and state-of-the-art tooling within agile development processes.
- Follow the product journey from the first prototype to final certification.
- Depending on your previous experience, we will train you individually (professional onboarding) and are sure that all colleagues will welcome you warmly and offer you their full support.
- We offer an attractive and performance-oriented salary package with additional benefits (e.g. subsidy for job ticket, EGYM Wellpass et al. or company medical services) and give you long-term prospects for your personal and professional development in our rapidly growing organization.
- We live flat hierarchies, maintain open communication in English and German as well as short decision-making processes.
- Arrange your working hours flexibly (flextime and home office).
- Find your workplace in a modern environment at the gates of Munich (5 minutes’ walk to the S-Bahn Vaterstetten) or park for free with us.
- Enjoy a friendly work environment with amenities such as a large roof terrace, kitchen, and a supermarket nearby. We like to meet up for coffee/tea or celebrate together.
